MY USB PORTS DOESNT WORK WITH OR WITHOUT BIOS ACTUALIZATION

If your USB ports don’t work with or without a BIOS update, here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Check USB ports physically – Make sure there's no damage or debris.
  2. Try other USB devices – Rule out the possibility that the device you're using is faulty.
  3. Check Device Manager (Windows) – Look for any yellow warning signs under "Universal Serial Bus controllers." You might need to reinstall USB drivers.
  4. Reset BIOS to default – Sometimes custom settings can disable ports.
  5. Power cycle your PC – Fully shut down, unplug it from power, hold the power button for 10 seconds, then start it again.
  6. Check for chipset drivers – Go to your motherboard or laptop manufacturer's site and install the latest chipset drivers.
  7. Inspect power settings – On laptops, sometimes power-saving features disable USB ports.

If none of that helps, the USB controller on your motherboard may be damaged. Let me know what system or motherboard you're using—I can give more specific help.

If your USB ports are not working even after updating the BIOS, the problem may be related to USB drivers, chipset drivers, Windows settings, or a hardware issue.

First, try completely shutting down the PC, unplugging it from power for a few minutes, and then starting it again. Also check Device Manager → Universal Serial Bus controllers for any warning icons and reinstall/update the USB and chipset drivers from your motherboard or laptop manufacturer's official website.

If none of the USB ports work, including during BIOS/UEFI, that can point more strongly toward a hardware or motherboard problem. If the ports work in BIOS but not in Windows, the issue is more likely software/driver related.

I would avoid doing more BIOS updates until the exact motherboard/laptop model and symptoms are checked.
